Aweber is good. So is Getresponse.

Getresponse is much friendlier to single opt-in. It has some cool features Aweber does not. Aweber has some cool features GetResponse does not.

GetResponse can be integrated with many 3rd-party solutions and has a pretty decent API. I have no problem integrating it with my ecommerce system. Even though the integration was designed for Aweber-type autoresponders, any autoresponder that accepts "email subscriptions" is easy to work with regarding passing information from the shopping cart to the autoresponder.

Obviously, not everything fits together nicely like Legos every time. In many situations you'll have to roll up your sleeves and figure stuff out or pay someone to do it for you.

There are several (supposed) automated lead generation systems out there which integrate with Aweber but not GR. The only reason, really, is the developers didn't want to do the work to do it.

I'm surprised you didn't mention (but I honestly had to use both Aweber and Getresponse myself to find out) that only Aweber integrates with other services (like Paypal).

I was shocked to learn that Getresponse has no third-party software integration at all.

This should be one of your main reasons in my opinion.

#James Spinosa: did you try the package? If not, your claim is not supported. Not wanting to be harsh here, just that when you claim something you have to back-it up with proof.

As far as I am concerned Aweber provides a far better platform for new marketers, and their old pricing plan was far superior to the old GetResponse plan. It is unfortunate that Aweber changed their pricing plans by adding in a supposed "analytics" package that frankly isn't all that useful.

#Minyak Lintah Sensaoil: can't convince someone. You have to convince it yourself. Test both, and you'll understand that price is not almost all them time equally with quality.

Aweber = quality.
