As a blogger, one of the best ways to bring notoriety to your blog is by writing compelling product reviews. As a general tip in blogging for dummies, you can start out by writing irresistible blog posts that will captivate and draw traffic from the readers on your website.

You better believe that if a reader sees something interesting, they will pass it on to their friends, and their friends, and so on, guaranteeing even more success and popularity for your blog!

#1 – To begin in writing compelling product reviews, be concise and to the point.

This is an excellent tip in blogging for dummies, but you don’t want to bog your reader down with too much information because it can become quite overwhelming. Give them clear information about the product, tell them how it works, and let them know your recommendation. This will help your readers to trust your perspective and make them want to come to you again for advice.

#2 – Identify with what the reader is looking for.

If you are reviewing a makeup product, your readers will want to know how well it works, if it is good for their skin, etc. Likewise, if you are reviewing a business training tool, then you will need to address a whole different set of concerns, as to whether it is cost effective, appropriate for business, and a worthwhile tool to use. Take the time to ask yourself what your readers may be asking about the product to answer their questions directly and meet their needs.

#3 – When it comes to writing irresistible blog posts and product reviews, you must include a product image!

This is something that is imperative because will help your readers to see exactly what the product is all about. This way, they can be attracted to how it looks, decided whether or not they want it, and even be more likely to use it. It just doesn’t make sense to do any type of a product review on your website without an image!

#4 – Get people involved!

This is a huge part of product reviews, but it is even better to offer a giveaway. You can ask your readers to get involved and enter the giveaway by tweeting about the product, commenting on your blog, or mentioning the product on Facebook. This is instant publicity online, and it also attracts readers to the product since they will want to win it for themselves in the giveaway!

I’m Andy Hayes, the Managing Director of Travel Online Partners (TOP), the go-to resource for small businesses in travel and tourism for help with online marketing. When not working on TOP I’m also working on my online travel magazine and writing articles – I’m a published author. I’m based in Edinburgh but travel quite a lot, enjoying the entrepreneurial lifestyle!

When, how and why did you get started with blogging @ TravelOnlinePartners.com ?

Travel Online Partners began well over a year and a half ago, but we relaunched under the TOP branding back in October. The services began to grow and just needed their own distinct brand apart from the rest of my businesses and activities. The purpose was simple: to give small tourism businesses a single place to find the resources they need to be more successful. We do that with our one-on-one support services, but more importantly our popular series of eLearning digital products and the blog.

How long did it take you to get you to where you are now, and what would you say to our readers who are already tired and frustrated of not seeing any results from their blogging?

Patience is a virtue. Really, it is.

Our current blog is only six months old now but we’ve benefitted from taking along with us those customers from the previous list, so we had a big head start. It’s a long journey ahead still.

If you aren’t seeing the results you want, keep in mind what Seth Godin says in his book The Dip: If you’re in the dip, you can’t quit. Unless you can put together some clear facts to decide your future is bleak, then you can’t quit. “I’ve been at it a month and it isn’t working” is a not good enough reason. You only win when you outlast the competition.

What are the TOP areas I should concentrate on in affiliate blogging?

Well, you should have a plan and a strategy for where you are headed. You need to develop a set of affiliate products that are a great fit for your ideal reader. Perhaps some higher priced and lower priced products, or other combination that fits the primary customer needs you plan to fill.

Work on having something of clear value to your reader first, then focus on getting more readers.

Do you have a formula for attracting traffic to TravelOnlinePartners.com and your other blog SharingTravelExperiences.com ?

Our take is to have a multi-pronged approach:

Organic SEO

Social Bookmarking (Stumbleupon & Digg)

Social Media (Twitter & Facebook)

You need to have multiple approaches to ensure both short term and long term results. Remember: if it’s too easy, then it’s probably too good to be true.

What would you say is the one most important thing you’ve learned about blogging?

You need to have a VERY clear picture of your reader. Give him/her a name. And write as if they’re sitting next to you. That picture of the person should drive everything you do, from the types of products you choose to the way you explain things.

What’s the biggest mistake you made getting started in affiliate blogging?

Not practicing patience.

Remember, in traditional terms, a customer would have to see your advertisement up to 20 times before realizing you sell something. What makes you think that slapping up a blog post means people will spend hundreds of dollars?

So how do you make money online with your blogs and what are the best ways to monetize a blog short and long-term?

Our consumer-facing blog is a combination of services (i.e. travel concierge) and digital products (i.e. how to earn airline miles). Our B2B blog is only digital products, but we ensure varying layers – both beginner and advanced products, as well as audio and video.

Short term earnings are a matter of luck – you can’t expect to hang up your shingle one day and be rich the next. Focus on good products and a welcoming environment that will keep your visitors coming back.

What’s your experience with readers comment approval so far and how important is to listen to your audience?

I don’t find the amount of comments as a valuable measurement in many cases. Gauge your audience – for example, if you’re in the weight loss area, people might feel embarrassed to comment. On our business blog, our ideal customer is quite busy, so comments aren’t a priority. Though I am often surprised what is popular and what isn’t.

It is very important to reply to anyone who comments – I see a lot of people who don’t. It is disrespectful to the reader and encourages others to not leave comments.

What’s your list building experience so far – what did you learn from getting readers onto your newsletter @ Inspiration and interacting with them? Do you have any list building plans for the near future?

The list building has gone a lot better than I had experienced; email is a far better direct marketing channel, and we have very high open rates and conversions because we treat readers with respect and have high quality, highly targeted products, so we don’t have to hard sell them.

Building the lists is mostly related to building traffic; we have some good enticements to join the list, so we think that will be effective in the future. We also make sure that our offer is clear and relevant to keep unsubscribes low.

Thank you for sharing your affiliate blogging advice with us!

Are you not getting enough blog readers that stick? People that come back ten times, maybe more… click on each of your links [and ads], putting more money in your bank account…

Something is wrong and now you have to admit it. You’re using the “default” method for getting readers to your blog. Just like everybody else. It is like you’re putting your “new visitors” lenses instead of focusing on “return visitors”

If you browse the web, you’ll find virtually hundreds of ways to attract new readers to your blog [aka get fresh blog traffic] but why is it that nobody teaches us how to attract readers that come back often?

Returning visitors are like money in the bank. Just go to your ATM and withdraw the cash. Next day, come back for more. New visitors are like pocket change. You can’t bet tomorrow you’ll still have them.

What I want to share with you now is how to get blog readers that stick – what I know that ProBlogger does not.

First of all, I am not talking prominently on Darren Rowse here. But it seems some pro bloggers have something in common. It is not a secret, in the positive sense. It is actually a disadvantage. Something I’ve noticed recently.

I suspect by adopting the same strategy, you’re one step further to killing your blog potential and scaring readers instead of attracting them.

Before we dive in, answer this please:

Q: Why do you visit blogs yet return often to just a few select?

I guess that’s because you like their content and writing manner; you probably also like glancing through readers’ comments and add your 2 cents when you feel so, right.

What happens if your favorite blogger closes his comments option. Would you return to his blog that often?

To be honest, I’ve seen this happening recently with some blogs that I really liked.

Michel Fortin and Leo Babuta are just two of them. They’ve decided to close their comments section. The first as a “limited testing” method, the other because they were getting too many comments [plus other "reasons"].

What kind of blogging strategy is that? Are you writing for your readers or just plain putting out an online journal…

Do you value your reader’s feedback? Do you really want to know what they think about your post? Do you want to hear what they have to say about your product?

Then accept comments. Let them speak. It is like you are talking to others in a group, without bothering listening to the other party. If you treat people that way, they are not going to stick around you. In fact, they will run from you like the plague.

Do you like people who talk all day about themselves or others, paying no attention to what you have to say, nor let you respond? Me neither.

The blogs that accept no comments look alike the type of friends you don’t want to hang around [for more than a minute].

I do not care how great a blog looks like; I care less how good the content is unless they give me the option to comment on the topic discussed inside.

Blogging was supposed to be a two-sided conversation, not a monologue.

It is your time to speak up.

Do you read blogs just because they have great content? Do you like to comment too? Would you still read blogs that often if there would be no option to comment?

I want to hear from you now. Post your comments right away, your feedback counts!

P.S. In upcoming post, I reveal a “trick” to get readers click on your [affiliate] links more often without sounding desperate or hype!

Are you tired of freebie seekers?

Want to attract real buyers, people with credit card on hand, but have no clue how to research the right keywords?

Imagine how it would feel like to know exactly where the cash is already flowing, and what people are spending money on right now.

Can you hear the online cash registers ringing?

The keyword research tips I am about to share with you are guaranteed to attract buyers to your blog, naturally, with no gimmicks and without spending a cent on software.

Keyword Research Tip #1 – Google.com

Selecting the right keywords is crucial. Our aim is to focus solely on “ready-buyers” key terms. Phrases and long-tail keywords with Commercial Intent

We start with Google AdWords’ Keyword Tool

Type in a key term related to your niche or industry added by a “ready-to-buy” key phrase or term [for e.g. buy, best selling, etc.]

marketing course best selling

Or you could just type in your niche keyword and look for “ready-to-order” key terms throughout the results such as [best, comparison, deal, etc.]

Keyword Research Tip #2 – ClickBank.com

This is Internet Marketer’s #1 favorite online marketplace for digital goods. If you are all about info products, how to guides and software services, then this is a “keyword” heaven.

It is not a regular search engine like Google but a place where you can find the best selling products and services in various niches.

You can search by the niche or product title and sort your results by popularity, gravity, etc.

This strategy is highly powerful when combined with Google’s free research tool to find “ready-buyers” key terms and phrases.

Keyword Research Tip #3 - Shopping.com

There is no reason to remind you that “commercial” phrases is what we are looking for. So the last and the best way to find buyers for your blog is to target your content for the same keywords they are using when searching online.

If your blog sells or promotes hard products such as books, clothes, IT accessories, etc., then check out Shopping.com , one of the biggest shopping engines in the world.

I consider this a very unique approach to keyword research. Imagine how effective this can particularly be since 98% of the bloggers out there probably never heard of it.

There you have it. Three simple tips guaranteed to teach you how to research keywords and attract buyers to your blog.

It is time to speak up.

I’m Henri. Born and raised in Sweden by Finnish parents. One month ago I moved to Southern Spain all thanks to the passive income I make online from my websites.

I was an online poker player for almost 5 years before I started getting serious with making money online. I have always been kind of a geeky tech guy and always loved making websites, so it’s a great match, plus I enjoy making money while I sleep.

When, how and why did you get started with blogging @ WakeUpCloud.com?

I think my first blog post went up December 5. I bought the domain name before that, but that is when I consider beginning my journey. I started the Wake Up Cloud because I wanted to help people improve both their internal and external lives.

This meant helping others improve their financial and emotional freedom. I’m a young guy, only 23, but I’ve always worked for myself and make a living on my own. I think I have a lot to offer.

This is my passion and it sets me on fire just to talk about it. I enjoy helping people and love seeing them make progress. It’s not easy to improve your life, but if you really want to, it’s inevitable.

How long did it take you to get you to where you are now, and what would you say to our readers who are already tired and frustrated of not seeing any results from their blogging?

I started with a Site Build It! website back in 2007 and struggled for almost 2 years before I finally realized that I was doing everything wrong.

I thought I had followed the instructions, but really I hadn’t. To those who are frustrated and tired, this is what it’s supposed to be. Your frustration is a sign that you’re just about to hit gold.

Most people give up when it gets hard, which is why most people don’t make money online. I have tried a lot of different methods of making money and it took me a while to find what worked for me.

In the end, sure it was a lot of hard work and frustration, but I never gave up. You can reach your goals if you keep going and keep learning from your mistakes. You will not make money magically. You have to sweat and work hard.

If you’re ready to do that, then you will succeed.

What are the TOP areas I should concentrate on in affiliate blogging?

This completely depends on what you like to do. Some people like to have several websites, others like to have one main website.

The number one thing I would say is to pick a topic you care about. Don’t start telling people how to make money online if you don’t know how to make money online.

You have to build trust before people will buy what you recommend. If a product gives you a huge commission but it’s not worth buying, then you shouldn’t recommend it.

Do you have a formula for attracting traffic to WakeUpCloud.com?

The best way to get your blog off the ground is to do guest posts for other blogs. I have done this a lot for the Wake Up Cloud and it has worked very well.

Search engine traffic can take 3-6 months before starting to roll in, and that is if you’ve optimized well, so you have to keep afloat during that period.

Since you’re doing guest blog postings, what are some of the key points you look for when writing content for other people’s blogs?

I usually look at what kind of articles the blog publishes and what their most popular articles are, then I try to write something similar, but from my own perspective so it is unique and helpful.

What’s the biggest mistake you made getting started in affiliate blogging?

The biggest mistake was probably that I believed I could make money by throwing up a blog and starting putting up affiliate links. You actually have to work to make money.

If you aren’t making money right now, then you just haven’t worked hard enough.

So how do you make money online with your blog?

At the moment I do not make much money with my main blog. I make money with other niche websites I have. I am working on a few products for my blog right now and may even throw up coaching services down the line.

Making money is not about doing it instantly. There’s no use in trying to monetize traffic you don’t have. You can’t do anything if you don’t have trust. Let people come and be helpful to them. Ask them what they need and provide that to them.

What tools and resources would you say are essential to affiliate blogging?

I would say Wordpress, being helpful and loving what you do. I know those aren’t really tools and resources, but so many affiliate marketers lose sight of what is important.

Affiliate marketing is about helping people what they want. If you’re just trying to make money, you probably won’t go too far. Of course you can, but how good will you feel?

Tell us more about your e-mail course – why should one sign-up for it – and what it delivers – plus, what list building plans do you have for the near future?

My e-mail course is currently about how you can discover your passion in 5 days. If you aren’t happy doing what you’re doing now, it will help you, but you have to be ready as well.

We are all put on this earth for a purpose. We all have something to share. Finding your passion is finding what you have to share with the world.

Thank you for sharing your affiliate blogging advice with us all!

Is your blog not getting enough readers?

Is your blog lacking traffic and comments?

Is your blog income suffering?

If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, then it means your blog is in coma, and you probably don’t even realize it. But guess what. It’s not your fault. The 3 steps I’m about to reveal to you will get your blog up and running fast.

Just try these blogging tips; I promise good things will happen:

Visitors cruising through your blog like never before

Readers “worshipping” you like an idol

Blog income increasing naturally like rising sun.

Here’s what you need to do next [I share 3 blogging tips for beginners that even pro bloggers could use]

Before we dig into the nitty gritty I need to mention something up front – a blog with 70% ads and 30% content is a dead blog anyway. The sad part is that these type of blogs can’t be resuscitated, unless you shift the strategy: publish 70% content and showcase 30% [or less] ads.

Step #1. Attract Comments Like a Magnet

If you want more comments on your post, you need to express it. Less than 1% of your readers will actually feel self-motivated to comment, unless you bribe them with something special or give them a reason to act now [we are lazy by nature, and sometimes you have to "lead" readers in the direction you want].

Blogging tips – “10 Tips for Attracting More Comments”

Step #2. Jolt Your Page Rank

There’s no secret about it. A high page rank is a sign of popular, high-traffic blog.

Did you know this? Google loves giving link juice [which adds up to the page rank]. But you need to “deserve” it and play by the rules. Black-hat SEO tactics would be no sense. Suicide for a long-term “sticky” blog.

Despite what most people think, a dying blog could easily bump its page rank from 0 to 2 or even more. You might want to hear how Marko @ HowtoMakeMyBlog did it

“How I got my blog from Google PageRank 0 to PR4 in two months”

Step #3. Increase Blog Traffic

What is the reason to blog when nobody hears you? You got to have readers. More traffic usually equals more eye balls glueing to your content, which leads to more cash in your pocket.

If you get people’s attention you’re one step away from getting in their wallet, legally and ethically.

Interested in blog traffic increase? Read this post - “Blog traffic – From 0 to 200.000 visitors, 8 blogging lessons learned”

There you have it. 3 steps to wake up a comatose blog. Income comes naturally. No tricks involved.

It’s your turn to comment now.

Is your blog in coma or doing good? How are you going to resuscitate it?

P.S. Stay tuned for the next post. I talk about “getting readers that stick”. Join the list to get free blog updates!

Did you ever wanted to have a money-making opt-in list but didn’t know how to build or start one?

A list with real people that you can mail good content to… at the push of a button, and see hundreds of visitors clicking your links…

A list that you can send affiliate product recommendations to and see your inbox flooded with irresistible “You Got a Sale” messages…

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have your own list that prints money on demand?

The sad part is that for most people this is just a dream, which will NEVER turn reality…

Here’s WHY – there are three major obstacles:

they don’t know how to set-up an autoresponder

they don’t know how to build a list

they don’t know how to create a site/squeeze page

I know how awful it feels like to be left behind. While you’re struggling to starting your list, other marketers build several cash-sucking lists, all pumping money into their bank accounts, day and night.

In the last two years I’ve built myself lists in the IM field totalling up to 12, 000 subscribers [and paying-customers]. I own close to 40 different IM related “niche” lists from hundreds to thousands e-mails each.

All my lists/e-mails are 100% double opt-in, built via AWEBER autoresponder, using squeeze / landing pages.

The traffic methods I used where mainly affiliate/JV marketing, article writing, ad swaps, blog commenting and forum posting.

If you’re a beginner, you could probably spend 3 to 6 months yourself utilising all these free traffic methods, and build a 500+ subscriber list.

The major problem of the all newbie affiliate bloggers out there…

Do you really have the time to spend hours each day writing articles, posting blog comments and browsing forums?

Do you like doing that on a regular basis without getting bored?

Would you like to own a ready-build opt-in list of 760 subscribers who already trust me [see details here]?

Would you feel excited if I told you that this list consist of 760 real folks, just like you and me, who has a keen interest in AdSense… that you could get to know better, and pre-sell affiliate products and services to?

Here are just 3 money-making ideas you could use right away once you own my list [as I'm actually looking for an honest marketer to continue the list building/promotion]:

You could send fresh EzineArticles content on AdSense topics

You could send ClickBank/PayDotCom product reviews on AdSense

You could send them to check out your blog/site and you’ll get paid in AdSense earnings when they click on your ads…

These are just 3 ideas to wet your appetite.

If this interests you, send your comment below and answer these two questions:

1. Why would you like to own my ready-built list of 760 AdSense fans?

2. How much is worth to you a list packed with 760 AdSense fans?

Please take into consideration this aspect:

A. The highest bidder will get to own my list, for the right price.

B. I’ll introduce yourself to my list before I ask AWEBER to transfer my list into your account.

C. You’ll actually borrow part of my brand name, authority and integrity/credibility which I’ve build in the past years…

Looking forward to receiving your comments and hopefully, you’ll be the one to transfer the list to… for the right price

P.S. Why am I selling the list? Because I have other lists and projects to take care of… particularly offline projects, taking me lots of time…

Would you like to own ready-made “affiliate” blogs preloaded with content for 30, 60 and even 90 days?

You can get one in 3 business days, or less…

This is the best option for non “techie” skilled folks who don’t have enough time to write, and want to focus on traffic…

Plus, it saves you hundreds of hours of error, frustration and research.

You don’t have to do the dirty work because I, along with my partner, will handle these aspects:

niche research

blog setup

domain name registration

plugin install

page creation

keyword research

and content upload

All you need to do is to log into your blog, copy-paste your affiliate IDs/html code, and start promoting it.

This is very easy and it takes a few minutes; you’ll have screen shots on exactly how to do all this. You’re not left alone.

Here’s what you GET:

A ready-made blog in a niche that is profitable based on our research, and on a topic which you like reading about, or at least, have some basic knowledge.

We’ll talk about this prior registering the domain name. You can host the blog on your server, or on my host. It’s up to you.

Your blog comes with 3 pages including:

1. “about” page [it needs basic content you could write in 5 minutes about yourself...]

2. “contact” page [it comes with a contact form so that visitors email you quickly & easily]

3. “disclosure policy” page is compliant with the FCT rules; you can now safely promote affiliate products.

Your blog comes equipped with “money-making” plugins such as AdSense & Yahoo, Amazon/eBay and ClickBank/PayDotCom – all you have to do is include your ID, link and/or html code inside the specific plugin settings.

Plus, you’ll have the Platinum SEO Plugin which enables your posts to get indexed in Google and other search engines. That means each post has the potential to bring you both spiders indexing your content and real visitors checking your blog. Traffic is KEY, and with this plugin things get easier

Your blog also comes preloaded with “free reprint rights” expert content from authority sites such as EzineArticles.com , GoArticles.com , YouTube.com and other popular sites.

Imagine not having to worry about what to post to your blog as it comes loaded with “scheduled” content for 30, 60 and even 90 days…

Each post/article includes professional-looking images, and it’s keyword/SEO enabled.

Here’s a blog sample I created to show you the possibilities!

B. My “Blog Post Ideas” guide which I’m selling for $19.99 @ here

IMPORTANT – you’re getting these items regardless of your package choice!

There’s no refund for this offer, and I’m accepting ONLY 10 clients a month, as my time is very limited. First come, first served!

You’ve noticed that there’s NO order link on this post for a specific reason – you’ll have to e-mail me, fill-out a short agreement including everything I said on this post, then make payment for the level you desire.

Afterwards, we start working on your blog! How does it sound?

I’m looking forward to working with you. Click here to contact me and I’ll send you the agreement. We need that so that each party knows exactly its rights and responsibilities.

Thank you,
Codrut Turcanu.

P.S. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, post them right now below…

P.P.S. Here are more details for you to understand the opportunity you’re getting here…

Preloaded content allows you to insert fresh content when you have time without depreciating the overall quality of your blog

The 30-day e-mail “Blogging” Consulting certificate allows you send me 60 questions by e-mail on any “affiliate blogging” topics and I reply within 2 business days [48 hours] to help you out!

You have the right to give me suggestions for what content you want to include, what tag line to include on your header and what template/theme to install. I could have sold this service separately as an upsell for $50 or more, but decided to make you an irresistible deal!

ATTENTION – you’re responsible for maintaining your blog and upgrading its plugins, as well as getting traffic to it. There’s no guarantee your blog will make any money, unless you bring traffic to it. Since you’re reading so far, you’re already aware of this!

You own the blog, its domain name and content, whether I register the domain name myself and host it on my blog, in case which I’ll cover the costs myself for its first year. On the second year, you’d have to pay me the costs [$9/year per domain registration and $150 a year for hosting] or ask me to transfer your domain/blog to your host for a one-time $50 fee.

Once your blog starts making money, there’s a possibility we could team up and make an agreement to sell the blog for 3x, 6x and even 10x times its monthly worth

Would you like to own ready-made blogs that you can easily monetize with your affiliate links?

What if these blogs would be already preloaded with content for 30, 60 and even 90 days in advance, do you think it’ll free up your time to focus on other tasks and projects?

I know there’s a high demand for such services yet there’s almost no offer available on the Internet. So, I decided to be the first to offer ready-made blogs with preloaded content for 30, 60 and even 90 days in advance, so that you can finally spend more time with your loved ones , and make money too!

Each blog will be monetized via AdSense, ClickBank and other affiliate programs of your choice.

They’ll be self-hosted WordPress blogs; I’ll register the domain names myself based on the popular keywords and host the blogs on my servers.

Each blog will have several pages including an “about” and “contact” page, along with a “disclosure policy” page to be compliant with FCT rules and safely promote any products for your blog.

From my knowledge, there’s no offer like this on the web as we speak.

Blogs come preloaded with expert content from EzineArticles, GoArticles, YouTube and other professional web sites, on red-hot niches.

All you have to do is promote your blog through all the free methods out there like blog commenting, article marketing, forum posting, etc.

Now, I’d need your input on this idea, so please answer these questions:

1. How do you think your life will change once you have a ready-made blog with preloaded content for 30, 60 and even 90 days in advance?

2. How many blogs would you like to own and why?

3. What specific niche[s] would you like your blog to be about?

The answers you send play an important role in the ready-made blogs offer I’m about to make in the upcoming post, so feel free to express your thoughts

Codrut Turcanu I Affiliate Blogging Tips

P.S. Post your answers to all three questions in the “comments” section below. I’m curious to hear what you have to say…
